How It Works

Custom grillz made from your own teeth, without leaving home.

Step 1: Order online. Pick your style, number of pieces and finish: Pure White, Yellow Gold PLATED or Rose Gold PLATED. Every order includes a free mold kit.

Step 2: Get your mold kit. Your kit ships the same day you order, free and tracked. Inside are 2 impression trays, 2 cups of blue putty and 2 cups of white putty.

Step 3: Take your mold and send us a photo. Follow the mold steps below, then DM us a clear photo of your mold. We check it before you mail anything.

Step 4: Mail it back. Once we give you the green light, mail your mold back to our lab. You buy the return shipping label, so pick a tracked service and keep your tracking number.

Step 5: We make your grillz. Your set is handcrafted in 925 sterling silver from your mold. Production takes 7–9 days once your mold reaches our lab, then it ships to you free with tracking.

Taking Your Mold at Home

A good mold is what makes a good fit.

Step 1: Prep. Brush your teeth, then wash and dry your hands. Put the empty tray in your mouth once so you know how it sits.

Step 2: Mix. Knead equal amounts of blue and white putty together for about 15 seconds, until it is one solid light-blue color with no streaks. Use bare hands, because latex gloves keep the putty from setting.

Step 3: Load the tray. Roll the putty into a thick log and press it into the tray along the U-shape, end to end. Work quickly before it starts to set.

Step 4: Press and hold. Place the tray over your teeth and press firmly into the putty. Only the handle sticks out. Hold completely still until the putty sets, following the timing in your kit instructions.

Step 5: Remove and check. Wiggle the handle to break the seal, then pull the tray straight out and rinse it in cool water. A good mold shows sharp imprints of your front teeth, with no bubbles and no plastic showing through.

Step 6: Send a photo. Take a well-lit photo of your mold and DM it to us on Instagram at @thekavitylab.us. We'll tell you if it's good to send or if you should take another one.
